Episode Overview

Kash Patel, the newly appointed FBI Director under the Trump administration, joins Joe to describe what it's actually like to be the head of the most powerful law enforcement agency in America. His answer: completely wild. Kash walks through the gap between what he thought the job would be and the reality once he was inside, the bureaucratic inertia he encountered, and his plans to reform an agency he believes has been weaponized against political opponents. They cover the FBI's role in the Hunter Biden laptop story, FISA surveillance abuses, the Russiagate investigation, and what Patel calls the two-tiered justice system. Kash also addresses threats to his life, his background as a public defender before joining government, and what he sees as the existential battle over whether the American legal system can be trusted again.
