Episode Overview
About David Cross
David Cross is a stand-up comedian and actor best known for his role on the cult sitcom NewsRadio and his sharp, observational comedy style. A product of Boston's legendary comedy scene—shaped by venues like Nick's Comedy Stop and shows curated by activist Barry Crimmins—Cross represents a generation of comedians who broke through by taking creative risks beyond the provincial repetition that trapped some of his peers. He remains an active stand-up performer, recently releasing new material, and continues to advocate for stand-up comedy as an essential creative outlet in an era of declining television opportunities.

[00:00:01] Joe Rogan podcast, checking out. The Joe Rogan Experience. Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day. David. Joseph. Good to see you. Dude, I haven't seen you in a long fucking time. When was the last time we were actually in a room together? [00:00:19] Well, I was trying to think of that. I don't know. I would imagine post-news radio we hung out at some point at some show somewhere. Somewhere. But I don't know. But I do remember, because I did news radio a couple times. And we hung out. I remember I think we both, no, just you, had more hair than I was probably already at this point. [00:00:46] I was fighting to keep it. I was hanging on. Do you shave or is that it? Is that? Oh, I mean, I'm bald. If I didn't shave, I'd be bald all the way up here. But I got a hair transplant and it was useless. Yeah. [00:01:15] accepted it and said fuck it I should have done it a long time ago it's so much better and I don't have to talk to a barber I don't have to listen to boring fucking stories while they hold you hostage with a pair of scissors that's what that's what this is this gets me. And it's not attractive to me, and I jerk off to me all the time, so I want to keep things fresh. But, uh, this, I probably don't have to. I could probably get clippers and stuff, but I go to, you know, one of my guys around the corner where I live. And I have this experience where I want that, I want to get in and out, right? Because of what you were saying. A lot of chit-chat. And there are a couple guys, very quiet. [00:02:33] blade blade straight razor thank you and um and they got it right there so you got to be polite it's on your it's by your yeah you know and I know I could avoid it if I just get some clippers and just do this thing but [00:02:49] I don't know I was boring and sor...
